Accomodation in Vienna

by sen5

I am planning to be in Vienna between Nov 13-Nov 23 and am exploring the possibility of temporarily renting a small apartment. Or even a room provided there is enough privacy. Oh yes, I would like a toilet inside the apartment (not on the corridor! :))

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

What is your budget (in euro)? How many guests?

Re: Accomodation in Vienna

May be around 40-60 Euros per day. It is just me.

Travel Tips for Vienna

Bring your own personal city guide

by martin_nl

Our friend Daniela comes to Vienna very often. So knows the whole city by heart. Therefor we a very lucky since we only visited Vienna for 1 day. If it wasn't for her we probably wouldn't have seen half of what we saw on this day.

Russian War Memorial in Vienna

by y2ketan2007

The Russian War Memorial was built after the Red Army captured Vienna during the end of World War II. There is a beautiful fountain in the vicinity and a beautiful little park too. This is an oasis in the heart of town.

High, high & away...

by Sharrie

Men since the early days & til today are still trying to outdo one another in terms of height.
This preoccupation with height is very dominant in all parts of the world. Europe initially, America & now Asia.

Why keep building tallest building when one could simply fly over them? ;-)
It puzzles me at times.

& why are we not going undersea?
I think it'd be quite a sight living in the sea... imagine all those corals.
The only thing I figured out is probably that most people can't see your home in the sea.
So, it's vanity or ego, perhaps? Or dare I even say that? :p

17th district - Hernals

by pakistanibrain

Schloss Neuwaldegg is a small castle in the 17th district. Because it's in a hilly area, you have a quite nice view over Vienna from the castle and the garden surrounding it is very beutiful too. (Check http://www.schlossneuwaldegg.at/en/index.php)

Hernals (that's how the 17th district is called) is mainly a residential area as well and mostly populated by quite well-off people, but not like an extremely rich and posh area. It is very green and offers a lot of possibilities for nice walks towards the Wienerwald.

You open the door on getting in & out of the tram

by marielexoteria

I'm used to doors that one of the train personnel opens for me when the train arrives at the platform by pressing a button, so it was interesting to see that in Vienna one had to open their door to get in or out of the subway trains, commuter train (S-bahn), trams, etc.
