The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that our room had an overpowering strong smell of stale cigarette smoke, but we managed to air it out fairly well by leaving the windows open during the day. It's hard to know whether that was just our room or of other rooms were similarly afflicted.
One warning: On the web site Pension Wild is advertised as being "gay friendly," and at the hotel itself they actually have a gay-only spa somewhere. There are ads in a little kiosk for it and also for "gay Vienna." We weren't exactly sure what kind of place we had checked into when we saw all this, but at breakfast the next morning it was the same kind of clientele you would expect in any hotel (men and women of all ages, singles, married couples, children, etc.). Don' t let the emphasis on gay life scare you away one bit. I never once felt uncomfortable there. It is definitely NOT a gay-only hotel. Then again, if you are looking for a gay-friendly place, Pension Wild certainly appears to qualify.
