The first point is that VT's database is a bit out of date, it's now called Radisson Blu Style Hotel.
Service was absolutely first class, friendly and welcoming. On our first visit our Superior room had a broken TV so they said they'd move us to another room, which they did within about fifteen minutes and it turned out to be a suite.
The restaurant serves a very good breakfast buffet, included in the price of Superior rooms and suites, with the hot items cooked freshly to order. They also have free WiFi, free Nespresso, free minibar snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
Rooms are very well furnished and equipped and spotlessly clean.
Right next door is the famous Café Central.
Unique Quality: Location is about as good as it gets, in a small quiet street just a few metres from the very centre of the city's pedestrian precinct. There you'll find bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and major tourist sites.
It's a small hotel, with only 78 rooms and a total of about forty staff, so it's very friendly, not too busy or crowded.
Directions: Herrengasse runs alongside the pedestrian precinct in the heart of the city, from Michaelerplatz (Michaels Square).
Radisson SAS Style Hotel is a cozy hotel in the centre of Vienna. Nice rooms.
Unique Quality: Radisson SAS Style Hotel has a good location in Vienna centre. Its not far from the famous buildings and the tourists spots.
It was my first experience of staying at this boutique hotel, it had a very definite Italian theme to it. The furnishings where expensive, the staff were very professional and customer focussed.
I had requested an early check-in and on arrival they knew who we were. In addition they had upgraded us to a suite. So a bonus all round. We had breakfast in the bar and it was wonderful and it was a mix of Austrian, Italian and fried food. It was charged at 32€ for the two of us, so I am nor sure if that is good or bad?
The suite was excellent, right at the top of the hotel and it was quite and peaceful; although we found the heating was set at 24C and only gave out cold air!
Close to the city centre and well, a good place to stay even if it was a little expensive.
Unique Quality: The restaurant Sapori, is apparently an contemporary Italian gourmet restauarnt - we did not eat there but the menu looked good. The H12 bar is again Italian themed, and has a good atmosphere and operate live music frequently in conjucntion with Sound Society.
The hotel offers a gym and sauna. Well worth a visit.
