Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth is my favorite hotel in Vienna as it has a perfect location close to Stephansplatz and Kaerntner Strasse and it has such wonderful furniture and a great atmosphere, reminding me a lot of the good old times of the monarchy. Famous persons who stayed here : 1767 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 1838 Clara Schuhmann 1856 Franz Liszt 1862 Richard Wagner 1863 Anton Bruckner 1896 Edvard Grieg 1956 Oskar Kokoschka and a lot more. In 1910 the hotel was granted the priviledge to by called " Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth" by the Austrian court.

Have a look on my picture and check out the link below. And if you are a fan of Kaiserin Elisabeth = Sissi - you will find plenty of sculptures and paintings of her in the hotel. NOT a cheap place , BUT a GREAT place with a unique atmosphere !! 200 Euros for the Doubble 75 Euro for a single rooms with shower are certainly a good price for what you get !
