We booked this hotel for its proximity to the city centre and the pictures/reviews we saw on booking.com. We were very disappointed when we arrived,the approach to the place leaves a lot to be desired.The lift is really tiny and can hardly take 2 adults and 2 suitcases.The room was quite spacious but did not look like in the pics that were shown on the site.It did have an old world charm to it but that's not what we expected.
The hotel rate included free WiFi which was one of our primary concerns as my husband had to stay connected to the office for some important work.The WiFi not only did not work but was not fixed inspite of our repeated requests.Also,the security deposit locker in the room had no instructions in English!! The staff did not know how to operate it either and they did not get back to us with the English instructions as promised.
We decided to somehow adjust to all this and not to get upset and spoil our vacation.But one night when we got back there was no light in the common areas of the building.We somehow groped our way to the elevator which had no light either.On reaching our floor we had to use the faint glow from our mobile phones to find the keyhole.The next night we got back earlier at 10 PM and it was the same story.This definitely left a bad taste in our mouth.
This place maybe suited for elderly couples and for people traveling with children but definitely not for young people.
