    Most hotels in Vienna are expensive, however there are a few choices on the budget end. I stayed at the Hotel Westend located at Fugerfasse 3, 2 short blocks from the Westend train station and 1 block from a subway station. reasonable at less than $30.00 a night, clean and a convenient location in Vienna.

  • Well I'm living here and so I don't care so much about hosting there. But Austria is a safe and clear country and so I would recommend to stay at hostel. If money is no problem then there are plenty of hotels you can stay in. Nice hotels but they are always in cities.
    Camping is also fun in Austria. But it's kind of expensive compared to other countries.

  • If you are willing to stay at the countryside the best is to stay at a Pension.
    Here you can bargain a bit and of course it varies from season to season and pension to pension.
    I know a Family of 3 Persons paid about €250,- for a 1 week stay in a pension close to my place. I hope that gives you an idea.

    There you can get into contact with the locals, get reall austrian food and it's rather cheap.

    approx 140 ATS with youth guest pass inc. Breakfast & linnen for a night ina 2/3 person dorm.

    Per person per day 530 ÖS for half pension (breakfast and 4 course dinner(I think single rooms are more expensive)

    Half pension per person per day 530 ÖS
    Breakfast is copious and varied, dinner is relatively simple but contains 4 courses and relatively non fat.
    The rooms are nice for the cheap price including shower and personal toilet.
    I liked the family-like ambiance most.

  • I stayed with my Grandparents in a pension next to a cornsilo and a hotel. Somewhere in Tyrol. Sorry but I don't know where We stayed exactly because I was just 8 years old.

  • HOTEL HEILIGKREUZ, Hall in Tirol. We decided to skip Innsbruck and stay in nearby Hall. That was one of the better choices we made on our recent trip. The accomodations at the Heiligkreuz were very comfortable, the food and service were wonderful - all at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed two relaxing days of strolling around this quaint medieval town and its countryside.

    The son of the owner has an observatory in back of the hotel and will happily give guests the opportunity to explore the night time sky. There is a wonderful view of the Tirolean Alps from the patio and lawn.
