Arlon
"The town of Arlon"
I first visited Arlon at the age of 11, subsequently i went on to live in this city for a shirt while and did some of my schooling in the town.
Arlon is the most southern city of Belgium, situated close to the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. It is the capital of the Belgian province of Luxembourg and has a population of about 24.000 inhabitants.
The city also has some historical significance as it was a stronghold during the Battle of the Bulge in WW2. There is an impressive war museum which brings light to the events in 1944.
I cant say that Arlon completely blew me away, and in all honesty there is probabaly not all that much to do here. However it is a city with a lot of character and history. It is also a suitable starting off place for more popular tourist places such as Bastogne and Luxembourg
