I paid 85 euro per double room per night in 2010 via hotelspecials.nl.
The hotel room was small but very adequate and we had a nice few over the river and the little traffic junction in front of the hotel and car park, where we could keep an eye on our car.
The corridors were rather well heated but it didn't bother us since you only walk in them a few seconds. There is an elevator.
This hotel has the huge fortress looming over it. Downstairs the lobby connects with a 'brasserie/bar' which also functions as breakfast room and connects to the restaurant as well.
You get a key so you can enter the hotel at any time. There is no internet.
Breakfast is very good. Fresh bread, butter, meat cuts (those wonderful Ardennes hams and sausages!) and fresh pastries.
Unique Quality: The hotel restaurant was an utter surprise. We had a really really high standard, tasty, elegant Easter dinner! I'll write about that in another tip.
Directions: Easy, it's on a corner, parking and bridge in front.
Location: Very good location along the river
Service: Fantastic and Helpful
Rooms: Very clean and tidy
Breakfast: Small and not typical of a small traditional owned hotels. A few plates of meat and cheese and some rolls, one selection of cereal, very strong coffee and two poor juices.
On weekends ask for a room to the rear. There is no view at the rear but it is quiet. Rooms at the front are very nice bu than you must put up with traffic noise.
Cost for 2 is 103Euros w/breakfast and a larger room.
Unique Quality: The location of the hotel is very good and it is not over priced like several in the area. The second picture i have included is directly outside the hotel at an adjacent bridge.
Directions: Directly below the castle of Godfrey. A starting point of the Crusades
