"La Roche on the river Ourthe"
La Roche lies 70 km from Liege. It is the capital of a canton. But mainly the largest holidayresort from the Ourthe valley.
La Roche is a small town with about 2000 inhabitants, specially during the summer, the number of people are doubled.
Lots and lots of tourists visit La Roche mostly to fish or for a canoe trip on the Ourthe
Just outside La Roche you can make beautiful waklings, you can buy a walking map at the local information in the main street just across the church.
Just outside La Roche is also a wildlife reserve, sometimes you see a guy with a valk on his arm walking through the main street of La Roche, off course a way off advertising the reserve.
Lots of souvenir shops and shops where you can buy supplies for fishing.
Great restaurants and caf?s, most of them build a small terrace on the street, when you are visiting La Roche in winter the streets are wider because all the terraces are removed.
