Great Location
The Antigone Hotel is the only one right on the River Schelde and from there it is only 5 minutes walk into the Grote Markt (the main square). We paid 15 Euros for private parking, but it was worth it.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable although I think it needed updating. The bed was very comfortable, the hot water was fine and there was tea and coffee available in the room.
I would definitely stay there again.
Unique Quality: Right on the Schelde - great breakfast.

Along the Scheldt river
We stayed here for only one night, but the room was good. We didn't have a riverview, but the spacious room made it right. The bathroom was great, with a large bathtub.
The hotel closes at 11:00 at night but you will get a key to enter through the nightdoor.
The breakfast was good and enough, but not very special for belgian standards.
The hotel is on a good location, both for reaching it and for going sightseeing.
Our verdict:
For this price (85 Euro per room) it is good choice to rest at night, but don't expect any special things here, like a bar or restaurant.

A room with a view of the Schelde
Unique Quality: The photo-collage shows the view from our room. On the right is the view towards the Marine Museum. The gray shed house both boats and a parking lot!

Good value on the river Schelde
We stayed here for 3 nights. It is quite comfortable. We had a room under the eaves -- you can see the skylight in the photo-collage. Breakfast was excellent and included. My only caveat is that housekeeping wasn't as thorough during our stay as I would have liked. [The room was spotless when we checked in]. I guess they figure we can live in our own mess!!!

Q: Stopping for a couple of hours(Train from Brugges connecting to Amsterdam) "Hi, Never been in Antwerp and will be connecting there and was wondering if is worth it to spend two hours or maybe more before..."
A: "I fully agree with above reply. You must feel the atmosphere of Antwerp. The Groenplaats and the Grote Markt are the two squares you should see. PJ"
