Antwerp BEST DEAL for backpackers

THE BEST! Click on Picture to see more!

Only minutes from the main square and right down the street from the O.L.V. cathedral. Find them on Hostelworld.com and book for cheap. Very cool owner who refused to allow our Heineken that we brought from Brussels inside his place but made up for it by buying all of us round after round of beer that night. Very comfortable place that I'm pretty sure is co-ed but they have more private rooms. We met two Brits upon our arrival and spent the whole time with them, a great time. Also, they serve breakfast but if you hang out with the owner you'll only be getting home as they're serving it so I suppose it's more of a sobering up snack. Very cheap prices and they may just let you work it off instead. We were offered room and board if we helped the guy finish his remodeling project.

Unique Quality: A modern, sunny dorm area with spread out bunks. A nice outdoor garden. Crazy stairs that are quite the challenge to navigate when coming home from a night out. Although we didn't see any shows or even any sign of them (besides the eclectic collection of musical instruments on the wall), the place is actually a folk music venue on the main level. NO HEINEKEN BEER ALLOWED

A: "I fully agree with above reply. You must feel the atmosphere of Antwerp. The Groenplaats and the Grote Markt are the two squares you should see. PJ"
