Antwerpen to Brussels
Hi Guys, will be attending a concert at Sportpaleis, Antwerpen on Janaury 2011. Far off I know, but I was wondering how far is Brussels from Antwerpen??
Not sure on the best place to stay and what there is to see!!!!!
I know there will loads to do the capital city but I have heard Antwerpen is a great city too. I was wondering maybe doing two nights in each city.
Any suggestions from now to then would be appreciated lol.

It's 55km.
Look at the Vt travel guides for ideas on what to see/do etc etc in both places written by Vt locals and visitors. You'll find loads of info and tips. Use the search both top right of this page to find them...just put in 'brussels' or 'antwerp'.

Antwerp is the diamond center of the World. If diamonds really are a girl's best friend, than a lot of ladies will not leave out a visit to the diamond district around the Railway Station. This area is also the Jewish part of the city. The presence of many 'Chassidic' Jewish people gives the city a flair that cannot be found in other Belgian cities.

This building was near our hotel..Ibis Hotel.
Infront of the building has this big area probably for a gathering, a concert...or some kids to practice their stake-boarding skills....
Anybody knows the name of the building or maybe the architect ?...

The eccentric building is the Stadsschouwburg. The city theatre were you can watch plays, musicals ... Lovely page about my favorite city
Meeting People...
.Meeting people is also a way to get to know the place...We met this guy at the bar in Antwerp....asking questions to him; He decided to show me around...
...Ended up having our dinner with him....I had Spaghetti Bolognese, can't remember what they had...
