Not your average Hilton
OK we´d been wanting to stay here for years, but was always too pricey. We managed to get a decent deal over Easter 2006.
Not a great price, but we were prepared to go for it.
What we wouldn´t do is go for breakfast EUR25 each is having a laugh.
There´s much better value and, in our view more atmosphere in one of the small cafés that Antwerpen excels in.
Unique Quality: The hotel is superbly located in the heart of the historical city centre across the square from the Cathedral.
It is architecturally beautiful.

EXELLENT HOTEL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CENTER
Last stay was really a treat as I was guided up to the 5th and Executive floor straight into an executive room.
I love a big bathroom and I also love a big hotelroom with a huge bed all to myself.
Small things like what bathfoam, soap, and other extra's on the bath desk is small, but nice treats to a 2 children full time working mother. A big nice bathrobe and slippers also just waiting for me after a long warm bath together with a nice glass of champagne.
Pure luxury!!!

The Famous Hotel
This is the hotel which will definitely catch your attention as soon as you get to Green Square. This imposing building from the late 19th century dominates the right side of the square.
The building used to be the 'Grand Bazar', 1 of the leading Belgian department stores.
Behind it, if you're into shopping, you'll find a pleasant and spacious covered shopping gallery.

A taste of luxury, perhaps?
Hahaha.. It was only a day trip.. so i didn't stay here.. Not that i would stay here even if i had stayed longer in Antwerp! heehee

Money to waste?
If you think about staying in this hotel, than I advice you to skip all my VT pages, because I am not that sort of people you would speak to. You would not eat in the restaurants where I go, and you would avoid pubs I find cozy.

Great Service
While I haven't stayed here, I have been here twice to ask for directions, and have received wonderful assistance from the front desk staff. Thought I'd put a plug in for them here for that reason alone.

In the heart of the city
The Hilton hotel is on one of the top locations of the city. It is a very beautiful historical building. It used to be the department store Grand Bazar for more than a hundred years.Even if you don't stay in the Hilton it is great to walk in an have a cup of coffe or a snack.

I never stayed in this hotel ! I asked Danielle to make a reservation for the night during my visit and little VT meeting in Antwerp - but they refused the moment she told them i would pay by VISA

Q: Stopping for a couple of hours(Train from Brugges connecting to Amsterdam) "Hi, Never been in Antwerp and will be connecting there and was wondering if is worth it to spend two hours or maybe more before..."
A: "I fully agree with above reply. You must feel the atmosphere of Antwerp. The Groenplaats and the Grote Markt are the two squares you should see. PJ"
