Nice Hotel in the heart of the City
3 star hotel offering 122 rooms. The hotel is located downtown, a few minutes away from the major historic attractions and shopping center.
Unique Quality: The hotel features a bar, a restaurant and meeting rooms for up to 100 pers. Additionally, the hotel offers its guests a fitness center and a hammam.

bus travel Mechelen
My husband and I are hoping to visit Mechelen very soon. We are coming on eurostar to Brussels and then by train to Mechelen.Can we get a bus from Mechelen railway station to Novotel Mechelen Centrum on V Beethovenstr. If so, which bus do we get and do you pay the driver or get your ticket/s before boarding.
I look forward to hearing any information. Thanks Heather.

According to Google maps, it is about 3 minutes by taxi from the main railway station at Mechelen to your hotel. Or about 15 minutes walk.

There is a bus N° 4 at the staion of Mechelen, direction Leest.
After 10 min. this bus stops at Van Beethovenstraat.

I have no idea where you pay for the bus. Didn't take a bus in my country since … decades! Just ask people on that "perron" = quai 1, with bus N° 4. They all understand English.

I was in Mechelen just recently but didn't notice how people were paying for bus tickets, most local users will have passes anyway. However, you can always pay on the bus, even when this costs a bit more than buying tickets in advance. As you will be getting on at the railway station, there is a Lijnwinkel (De Lijn shop) there. Incidentally if you have large suitcases I would recommend taking a taxi instead.
