I have a plan to visit Hasselt, I need to know about the transportation from Brussels Airport to Hasselt.

If you look at:

http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/

and search for Brussels airport and Hasselt you will see exactly what trains to take, and when they run.

Journey takes about 1h 20m, with one change at Louvain. One-way ticket is 11.90 euro.

The open air museum near Hasselt and Zolder.
Another one day tripper from Gent ! Fondest memory is the open green area - the old buildings - farms and expostion of old professions like it was many many years ago.
It is a park/Musea were you can walk hours and hours - just back into time !

At the shopping street we found this statue of a market women. My kids looked if she had something in her basket but besides some paper it was empty 
My son discovered right across this statue a shop where they sold model aeroplanes and cars. He love that and was very disappointed that the shop was closed.

Visit my hometown, St-Truiden.
Just sit down on one of the many terraces on the 'Grote Markt', which is one of the biggest of Belgium. The people in St-Truiden are very friendly.

Adrien de Gerlache (1866 - 1934) was born in Hasselt and spend his youth at the boulevard where you can find his statue

Virga Jesse is honoured because of the many miracles she did.
This basilica is the third building. The first collapsed in 1727 and the second was destroyed during WWII.
