Comfort close to the citycentre
We stayed in this hotel during the easter weekend of 2007. It was fully booked but we never had any inconvenience of the other guests. The hotel has its private parking garage with space for 40 cars, in our case there was enough space. The room was large and comfortable. There was a tv, a minibar and a kettle to make tea or instant coffee. The bathroom was clean and contained a bath, a toilet and a large sink.
The hotel has a bar, open from 7 in the morning until 0:30 at night. The bistro was not open during the weekend, but only from monday till thursday. We did try the bar, it was nice to sit there, but prices of the drinks were high.
There was always staff at the reception, and they were very helpful. They found addresses of the stranged places we asked for, from bicycle shops to the graveyard. They even fotocopied a detailed map of the city and marked all the spots we wanted to go to.
Breakfast was good as ever in a Belgium. A buffet with too much things to try it all, but the chocolate easter eggs topped it all off.
There is a coffee and tea corner at the elevators at every floor. This means there is a table with teabags, sugar , instant coffee, instant milk. With the kettle found in your bathroom you make yourself tea or coffee. That is when the other guests didn't use all the teabags......
To be sure to have coffee and tea you can bring your own or ask at reception for new supply.
Another minor downside is the market in front of the hotel on saturday mornings. If you don't want to wake up at 5 !! close your window before you go to sleep, so you won't hear the merchants setting up shop.
Our verdict:
Good hotel for a fair price, we would visit again and recommend it.
