Great cheap small-scale hotel in nice village
As Douglas Adams fans we were delighted to stay in Room 42. The room and bathroom were immaculate, and the room was definately big enough. Not huge, but it was easy enough to walk around the bed. Room came complete with desk, chair, easy chair, minibar, bedside tables with lamps, bathroom with double sink, bathtub, toilet, the works.
Costs: 55 euro fri-sat and sat-sun, 45 euro sun-mon, so 155 total for our weekend break. Parking was free because we drove 500m to the town hall (at least that's what it looked like) parking lot. Parking in front of the hotel is 50c per hour.
I'd definately recommend this hotel to people who do not demand luxury at rockbottom prices. The hotel is clean and friendly, but definately not 5-star accommodation. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, but in this case you do get a lot of bang for your buck.
Unique Quality: The hotel used to be a cinematic theatre. They're currently rebuilding the theatre for screenings. In the near-future, going to the movies at this hotel should be a possibility again.
Directions: The Stationsstraat runs right through the village. When you get off the highway, you'll see a petrol station at the roundabout. Go right before the petrol station. Keep following the road, and you'll end up at the hotel. Easy-peasy!
