HOW I ATTEND A VT MEETING ANY WHERE IN THE WORLD????

If you want to go to a VT meeting, click on the red 'meet members' tab at the top of this page. Then click on the 'member meetings and events' tab. You will find all VT meetings listed. You can sign up to any you would like to attend (there is a link for this in the details of each meeting). You will have to make and pay for your own travel and accommodation arrangements, of course.
The Alijn House Museum is an excellent place to visit AND it has an added extra - the cafeteria! The beer here is the cheapest that we encountered and it is served by friendly volunteers. You can visit the cafeteria without visiting the museum.
Ghent is filled with the best of Flanders: lovely canals, narrow streets, beautiful architecture, masterful cathedrals, ominous castles, great food, and fantastic beer. If Brugge is too crowded, Antwerp too dingy, Brussels too, er, Brussels, then get yourself to Ghent.
It's worth the trip.
Visit following monuments : The castle of the Counts, St. Bavon Cathedral, The Belfry,The Mystic Lamb, the town Hall, St. Nicolas Church, The Graslei (the old port of Ghent), . You can find all these historic monuments on 1 square km
Start your walk through Ghent at the St Michielsbrug. This bridge spans the Leie River and provides beautiful views of medieval buildings and the three majestic spires: St Niklaas Church, the Belfry and St Bavo Cathedral.
Gent was built up as a textile center. Each one of the Guilds had a Guild house, and each one built a church. Here is a picture looking along St. Michael's bridge back at the town belfry, and two of the churches.

Q: Arriving Gent Sint Pieters with medium suitcase "Will we be able to get on a Tram to go to the City Centre with a medium sized suitcase? or should we get a taxi to the hotel -..."
A: "You shouldn't have any problem with the tram. They run regularly and are rarely full except at peak times. Gent taxis are expensive."
