B&B Abrahams Prinsenhof
At the end of December 2013 I stayed 3 nights in a single room of the B&B Abrahams Prinsenhof. It is run by Myriame Dolders, who offers about 3 rooms/appartments in her 18th century old town building.
I had booked my room for 45 Euro/night about 10 days in advance by e-mail. Communication with Myriame was smooth and easy.
My en-suite room was in a sort of annexe of the building, facing the backyard garden. Besides the bed, my room was equipped with a small desk, a chair, an armchair, a shelf and a small cupboard.
Breakfast was brought at an agreed time every morning to my room and was all three days different. I assume that in summer it can be taken in the backyard garden.
Unfortunately it was a bit difficult to get the room warm with the two provided heaters, but this is probably a general problem of 18th century buildings in winter.
Due to its central location in the very heart of Gent's old town I really enyoyed my stay at the B&B Abrahams Prinsenhof and I would definitely go there again.

Sleepstreet: Super fine house near city center
We stayed with 6 people in this very nice appartment during the Gentse feesten. The appartment is very nice furnished and 20 minutes walk from the city center. An excellent place to stay for a few days!
Furnished apartments and house in the heart of Ghent, to rent for short or longer term.

Geert de Buck: Great location
I used airbnb for the first time with success. Geert's apartment is in a great location. Every thing I wanted to do is walkable from his address. It was also really close to where my friend was staying- the NH (a very nice hotel, too, with a superb location). It's not really the full bed & breakfast experience- you are basically a guest in someone's private house.
A chance to chat about life in Flanders over coffee with a local (with those gorgeous bells peeling in the background).

B&B Anne Gourhant-Steyaert: In the middle of Gent
For the third time we stayed here and again it was a very nice stay.
A warm and friendly welcome.
In the middle of historical Gent.
Very easy to reach from station Gent - Sint Pieters with tramline 1 destination Evergem or Wondelgem.
Very much privacy, because you have your own 'little house'.
Every morning a delicious breakfast.

Chambre Plus+: Great Bed and Breakfast in the center
Great B&B!! Check out their website to see the pictures: www.chambreplus.be
The hostess is a really kind lady and makes the most delicious and extravagant breakfasts! Everything looks just like the pictures you see on her website.
It is in the centre (Hoogpoort); shops, bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, historical sites etc. literally on your doorstep. Great big rooms in the back of the house, so it's really quiet. A great starting point to explore beautiful Gent!
In the buzzling centre, but has quiet rooms.
Rooms have tea facilities (always handy, especially when you're going in the winter).
Great breakfasts and treats from the hostess (last time we got homemade chocolate mousse....mmmm!)

Accor group hotels....: Ghent has a lot of good accomodations
Ghent has a lot of accomodations to offer. From B&F, youth hotels, tourist hotels up to business four star hotels.
Has i live here in Ghent i have no real experiences on this but i always heard from friends and invited VT members that three hotels are very popular due to their location and acceptable prices
- Sofitel : near the city hall
- Ibis : next to the Cathedral
- Novotel : next to E.Braun square
The "Ghent River Hotel" and "Marriot Hotel" are rather exclusive accomodations.

De Drecke: Typical Belgie Style
Hotel Drecke is located in the heart of Ghent not far from the castle. It has amazingly friendly staff and at 35 euros a night it is a great value. It is spotless and centrally located. Excellent mid range option and not overloaded by travellers even in mid summer.

Brooderie: Bread and Board
The Brooderie is a small bed & breakfast with just three rooms. The first floor has one room plus shower room and WC’s that are shared with the patrons in the coffee shop & bakery on the ground floor. There are two further rooms on the second floor.
I have only eaten downstairs and not stayed here but a friend of mine has and says it was OK, but then again he is a Kiwi and is easily pleased.

Interesting to stay in an old monastry. Rooms are comfortable but hotel feels like a university halls of residence rather than a proper hotel. Also good 10 mins walk out of town
We stayed in the rectors house and had breakfast in part of church.
