Clean, central and friendly
This is a modern, business like hotel. Clean, smallish rooms with mini bar and good bathroom. The shower was very pleasant.
In the last photo the room price is mentioned. Per night, 2 persons, it's 180 euro. But a quick search on the internet via a booking site, we found a price for 99 euro, including breakfast. We thought it was a good deal.
In other hotel tips here on VT I had read that you should ask for a room at the back because it can be noisy. The hotel is situated on the corner of 2 streets. I asked for a room at the back, which was room 13. Funnily enough, technically it was at the back, but it was simply on the other street corner! However, I did not have any trouble sleeping.
Breakfast is good. I read somewhere that it was 'adequate' or something similar. For me it was a complete hotel breakfast with cereals, fruit, cheeses and meat cuts, and various kinds of fresh bread. Boiled eggs, tea and coffee at your disposal and nice coffee cakes.
For me it was more than satisfying.
Unique Quality: Free internet. They have a cable at reception if you've forgotten your own. There is also private parking at 12 euro per day. We were allowed to leave our car their after checkout for the remainder of the day at no extra cost.

A three star hotel opposite to Damian church
Unique Quality: The 3-star New Damshire Hotel is located in a fairly quiet area in the center of Leuven and has 34 rooms plus 1 suite. Amenities inlude airconditioning in most rooms (20), bathtub and/or shower, TV including film channels, hairdryer, radio/alarmclock, phone, minibar, safe, hi-speed internet connection. If you'd come by car, private valet parking is available for EUR 10 / day.
Rates 2005 (incl. VAT/taxes and breakfast) :
-week : single EUR 120, double EUR 136
-weekend : single EUR 95, double EUR 108
-suite : single EUR 160, double EUR 170
