I am not really in the attire of going to the beach but who cares! you can do many things here like walking along the shore just like we did..dip your finger tip to the water, watch those people around, watch the kids making some sand sculpture or just sit on the sand and feel the seabreeze.
Blankenberge has been a small famers village for ages until ~1900, when it transformed into a coastal town and beach resort.
The coastline with the 350 meter wide beach is marked by highrisers, offering the tourist a room with a view.
The real town is hidden behind that "concrete wall".
Good-naturedness and fun are the paramount in Blankenberge. You can try your hand at gambling in the totally refurbished Casino or spend an evening out at "King Beach". You can entertain yourself and the others with a few rounds at the Lustige Velodroom or enjoy a nice quiet chat in one of the bistros.
Blankenberge is the ideal seaside resort for a family holiday. A wide beach and all kinds of attractions make this « people town -, attractive to children, pleasant shopping streets, a wide range of entertainment at democratic prices have a similar effect on the adults.
