Design? Hotel Saint Saveur

Happy to have booked for one night only. Found this on the internet where it is described as a design hotel. If a few imitation pieces of design furniture and some abstract artwork on the wall is the meaning of design then it qualifies. The design junior suite I stayed in rm 407, appeared to be OK on the surface. Closer examination revealed several annoying flaws. There is no where to hang shower head meaning only possibility is bathing, and if you do opt to shower with the shower head in your hand you can see how the water runs along the sides. The bath drain was full of hair, i mean full , which would explain why the water my feet were constantly standing in water. There was no parking available and i was told that parking had to be reserved with room but that is not mentioned on the web site. The hotel can only be accessed on foot as it is in a pedestian zone. The bathroom door has a nice design stainless steel hook on the door which has not been properly fitted meaning hook and screw are hanging from door. There is mention of free wireless internet access but that is not case. Use of the sauna is extra, 15 euro p.p. per two hours! If you are looking for a quiet place to stay look further - the hotel is in a sort of alley meaning all the street noises reverbrate through the rooms facing the street. Not to mention the noise from other rooms which is clearly audible as rooms are carpeted but have wooden floors underneath that have not been well insulated. You can hear your own footsteps as you walk about the room.Lack of attention to detail made this a very dissappointing pricey stay.

Quite ok, but far from really good!

We stayed four nights in this one, but unfortunatly it is not far away from a disco, so the whole night more or less drunken people passed beneath our window making more or less loud noise. So we did not sleep good.

The pool is not that clean and water was rather cold.
