Relaxing

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 1, 2006

We spent 3 warm September nights at Bryghia. Would recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, comfortable, spotlessly clean refuge at the end of a long day's touristing! We had the big room at the top - the bathroom was the size of many hotel rooms I've stayed in. I Imagine this is usualy the family room, but we were just a couple. The narrow stairs are fun after a few Triples - breakfasts are good and service quiet and efficient. Beautiful position on a canal just out of the main hustle and bustle, within hearing of all the bells & horses. A pleasant walk, when the roadworks have gone to the canals, windmills, Markt and good restaurants.

Directions: Near Van Eyke Square

Hotel Bryghia ***

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 26, 2003

The Bryghia is a 3* hotel, located just a short walk away from the tourist attractions on a quiet square. Some of the rooms overlook a lovely small canal.
The building orginates from the 15th century but - of course - has been renovated in the meantime!
The Bryghia has 18 rooms with all modern comforts: bath & wc, hairdryer, color TV, radio, safe, minibar, coffee & tea facilities.

Unique Quality: Our twin room was a bit smallish, but clean. It had an ensuite bathroom with tub, sink and WC.
A good breakfast (buffet) was included. The breakfast room is very cozy, so is the small lobby with its wooden floor and English-style sofa's.
A garage can be rented separately (7.50 euro per night).

Directions: Two blocks north of the Market Square
