Right in the Centre of Town

An excellent modern hotel with all requirements for a short stay in this beautiful old town.

Unique Quality: The situation is right in the centre of town on Burg Square, one of the two historic open spaces in Bruges. It has its own car park so it is possible to drive there then leave the car. Everywhere else in town is in walking distance.

Top location.

Actually the location of this hotel could not be better.
The 'Burg' is a fantastic square. The hotel is the
neighbour of the city hall. It is a ****plus hotel.
The rooms are quit oldfashioned , but somehow
it seems to fit Brugge.

The hotel is quit expensive , but keep your eyes
open , sometimes great deals come your way.

Unique Quality:
There is a small indoor pool ontop , a sauna
and a tiny fitness. We enjoyed it very much ,
since there isn't much going on in Brugge
for the vivid and the active people. ;-)

Very nice

My wife and I stayed there for one night recently, and we thought it was great. The location is superb (Burg square right in the middle of Brugge), very nice building, great bar. We stayed in a suite, it was on two levels - small-ish seating area downstairs and huge bedroom in a loft upstairs. Nice and clean. Only a small thing - doesn't seem to be enough natural light - the windows are quite small for a room that size. But that's hair-splitting, really - everything about this hotel was really great, couldn't even compare to both Crowne Plaza hotels I've been to in Brussels.

Unique Quality: The picture attached is a view from our room's window.

Da Burgh! ('da other one!)

Very centrally located, very clean, and the rooms are cute and cozy.

We really did make most of our stay at the Crowne Plaza in Brugge. From the time we arrived we immediately enjoyed a delicious 7-course European dinner (it seemed endless!)
at their restaurant, and spent many hours in the room catching up on much needed zzzzzzzzzzz.........

You step outside the hotel and you are smack dab in the middle of "Burgh Square" where the famous "Holy Blood" Church is located.

Brugge is definitely a "walking city," and the Crowne Plaza was a perfect start.

Unique Quality: Location! Location ! Location!

Great Valentine's Dinner too!

There are a lot of offers...

There are a lot of offers accomodation there. I stayed in a youth hostel as I use to stay when Im travelling... cuz for me is not very important to stay in a luxury hotel. I just need a clean bed.

But for all the people taht looks for a nice hotel there are ones in the central Brugge. I think it is a 3 stars hotel called CROWNE PLAZA.
The hotel has 89 guest rooms, 7 suites, 8 floors, cocktail lounge and 2 restaurants.

More about Crowne Plaza Brugge

Nice property in a great location. But expect problems.

by A TripAdvisor Member

The Crowne Plaza Brugge is perfectly located in the very center of Brugge. Rooms are surprisingly spacious for a European hotel and its rooms with two double beds may make it the best choice for families visiting this town. There were many problems with services and amenities during my stay, but if you can get a good rate this is a relatively safe bet.

Perfect location: Those in Brugge for tourism will appreciate the location on Burg Square, right next to the historic town hall. The hotel is also walking distance from all the main tourist attractions. There are also many restaurants in the vicinity.

The room: Our family room was spacious (by European standards) and the two double beds were quite comfortable. The window gave a lovely view of the square. Be mindful though that there may be public concerts at night on the square, especially during the summer months.

Amenities: There was complimentary mineral water and chocolate, a coffee maker, a small desk and small TV. However most english channels were not working - BBC News, CNN, Bloomberg and CNBC were absent. This problem compounded with internet access problems - the wireless signal was so weak I could not connect in the room. It was also quite warm during our stay and the aircon was not working.

Food: Room service menu is very limited but there are two restaurants on site which are priced reasonably compared to what's outside.

Service was the weakest point of our stay. The accumulation of problems (no aircon, malfunctionning TV and Internet (€10/day), and parking issues (€20/day) which all persisted during our 3-day stay) were a bit too much and staff didn't care to address them.

Having said that, at €79 a night this was a good value. Service and technical problems were very disapointing but the location and the quality of the property were above average for a Crowne Plaza and made up for the rest.

Regarding Brugge, I would recommend staying two nights to enjoy the city at a leisurely pace. Keep in mind that most museums are closed on monday. The town of Damme (5 miles east) makes a lovely half-day excursion. Also don't miss visiting the basement of this hotel which exposes the foundations of a church it was built on.

great hotel, great location

by TripAdvisor Member schombo

Great location just off the side square (town hall) and a block and a half off the main square. Clean hotel, check out the cathederal ruins in the basement! Room was nice and big, good rate. Close to all of the good restaurants and there are several good beer stores around the corner. Would stay here again.

Festive Fare

Stayed here for a one night romantic break in the week before Christmas. Excellent hotel in every way. Location superb, on the Burg and close to the beautiful squares and canals. Room was probably one of the biggest I had stayed in and TV had a choice of channels from various european countries including the main UK channels. Very clean and pleasant and excellent service at reception and in the bar. Even when we had missed the check-out deadline the "gentle" reminder was delicately delivered. Got the impression that customer service is definitely top of the agenda at this hotel and such a pleasant surprise.

Lovely City, particulary at this time of year, with the Christmas trees and lights, the ice rink in the square, the Christmas markets serving mulled wine. Even splashed out 30 euro's on a horse drawn carriage around the City.

Would return to this City and would not stay anywhere else.

Great Hotel, Great Location!

by TripAdvisor Member jrleeper

This hotel felt like a 4*. The facility was nice & clean with a friendly and helpful staff. The location was awesome, right next to the Town Hall and half block from the Markt. Our room was large (especially for European standards) and the view from our room was beautiful. We ate nearby (even though they had two restaurants) at Carlito's (1/2 block behind the hotel), Craenenburg Cafe (in the Markt area) & Jameson's (out the front door and to the right of the hotel). All three places had good food and the prices weren't bad either. Jameson's menu can be found at ------. For more info on places to eat, go to resto. You definitely need more than one night. I would definitely stay here again.
