View of garden from the lounge by SueWarwick This very clean, comfortable 4 star hotel is sittuated on Potterierei at the top end of Bruges. We were lucky enough to be staying in one of the rooms with a balcony over looking the hotels Japanese garden. The rooms themselves are of a good size and have air-con, comfy beds, internet connection, minibar and free safe box The brekfasts are good too, I think all tastes are catered for; tea, coffee, juice, cereals, fruit, bread, bacon, sausage, cheese, cold meats (I didn't tell you this, but you can allways smuggle some out for a lunch!) Although the hotel does have a pool and health centre, I didn't get chance to use them.
Probably the most unique quality this hotel has is it is a small piece of Japan in Belgium! The bar/lounge has nice views into the Japanese themed garden and if you get there between 2pm and 4pm you can take advantage of the free tea and coffee I like the quote on the hotels website too which claims '...two rooms equipped with all facilities for the facial challenged guests. ' So if you are indeed facial challenged, make a point of booking in to here (-; Theme: HotelComparison: about averageDirections: It can seem a long walk from the station to the hotel if you are carrying suitcases (and virtually all roads are cobbled!) Take one of the many buses which stop on the opposite side of the bridge. Just ask the driver to give you a shout when to get off!Website: http://www.hoteldemedici.com
