Hotel Erasmus

This small hotel is set in a picturesque little square alongside a canal in the town centre. It is very close to the Main square and the Belfry so the location was perfect. Not all the rooms are air-conditioned and we found it very hot in summer and could not sleep properly even though the outside temperature was not too bad. The hotel was kind enough to organise a fan for the room. Downstairs there is a Belgian Brasserrie where you can sample some Beligian Beers. The little picturesque square at the back is lovely for breakfast with great views of a canal, it is also lovely at night. It was about EUR100 for the room including breakfast. You can book a tour to the surrounding area (Damme, beer distillery and chocolate making demo) at the hotel.
