Left Luggage

Well, I put this under this category because it wouldn't fit anywhere else, but I do think it is useful information. Brugge does have a left luggage facility in the train station. It's one of those coin operated lockers and we stored our stuff while we walked around during the day.
Memling museum

You will be in the old St.John's Hospital complex and learn about life in 15th century. Hans Memling is considered one of the most important 'Flemish primitives' so it would be good visit if you want to know more about history.
City Hall

To the left of the Basilica is the beautiful 14th century façade. The foundation stone of the Gothic City Hall was laid by Count Lodewijk van Male in 1376. The façade contains portrayals of biblical figures as well as characters from Flanders' past.

these wildly popular canal-boat tours. It seems you can get a better view of things just by wandering around on your own, not being jammed into these longboats like sardines. But the guided-tour people, look at them, they've been told this is the thing to do so they line up for the canal boats like there's no tomorrow. No thank you!
Don't take any wooden nickels!

Lock it up with a pad lock folks. No joke! Take some crapy clothes with you. Then replace them with new cool new ones you buy alone the way. Donate you old ones to a hostel. Bring cold meds. They are hard to find in little towns. And of coarse there’s this old one: “Lay out all the clothes you want to take with you. Take out half the clothes and double your money and you should be fine.”
