Great hotel, perfect location!

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on February 1, 2013

A friend stayed at Martin's so it was already pretty highly recommended when we decided to book here for our trip. We stayed a full 7 days and it really was a great experience. We had a room towards the back, very quiet. Room was small (but that wasn't an issue) but very clean and nice. The only 'noise' we heard was the bells from the Belfry and horses clomping along the cobblestone which, in my opinion, was very romantic. The wi-fi was free but not very strong but it may have just been the room we were in. If we waited a few minutes we could finally connect but it went on the majority of the trip. Breakfast is available but its something like 17/per person and that was too expensive for us so we chose to eat elsewhere. The bar in the hotel was always busy in the evening and it was a lot of fun to sit and have a drink and meet other travelers.

Unique Quality: It is literally right off the Markt Square where the Christmas market was located. You can't pick a better location!

Directions: Right off the main market!

Lovely hotel in centre of Bruges

I spent 4 nights in this hotel, it's location is great, just near bruges belfrey and grand Place. You can go to anywhere in bruge on foot. The room was clean and quiet, but i suffered from the bed, they stick two twin beds together.
Internet there is very expensive 15 Euro/day

Directions: Just behind Bruges Belfery

Nice hotel, clean and big rooms.
People at the reception are really kind and always ready to help you.

Nice lounge bar inside where you can have a drink or two before going sleep, or just for a relaxing evening.

Internet usage is not free of charge, it cost EUR 15 for 24 hours, i think that this is a weak point.

Okay, have to admit that we did NOT stay at "my" hotel.
But how could I resist not listing a hotel that they named after me??

Directions: Near the Belfry

Great hotel

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)

A really nice hotel. Couldnt have asked for a more centrally located hotel, situated directly behind the Belfry. We arrived the day the bar was reopening, after refurbishment, and enjoyed half price cocktails! Very friendly and helpful staff.

The only "oddity" was that the minibar was located in the bathroom!

Very nice Hotel which is situated right in the middle of Brugge next to the Belfry.

Unique Quality: The Grand Hotel Oude Burg has a roof top which you can go up too and get a 360 view over Brugge. It was great to see and excellent for taking a few photo's.

Directions: The hotel is only 5mins away from Brugge Train station and right next to the Belfry.

Grand Hotel Brugge

by written on August 24, 2002

about US$ 100,00 for a double room.

Unique Quality: When you look the hotel outside, you have no idea about the way it's inside, because it is in the middle of a block and the front looks exactly the same as the other buildings in the street, but it's very modern and comfortable.
