central and great service
I stayed here always using points from Accor nor not, it is walking distance to city center haupt markt,and driving is easy to get in and outo f city.
Been one of the higher brand of Accor ,Novotel are known for excellent service and all most wanted amenities.
Unique Quality: big rooms, nice front parvis, off street parking, and restaurant, walking distance to haupt markt city center.

Good for a Family Room
This hotel was great. Reasonably priced and comfortable clean room with a great breakfast. there was a swimming pool and table tennis table out the back and as we were there midweek we pretty much had it to ourselves. Very secure public Car Park right next door (cost about 20 Euros for two days parking). Free internet, fridge in the room...I think it was around 95 Euros a night booked some time in advance....not bad for August in Bruges.

Good Hotel, good location
Regular visitors here when in Bruges. Hotel is tucked away just 10 minute walk from the centre. The rooms are comfortable and spacious (the sofas fold out to an additional double bed if required). Nice bar and breakfast areas. My wife is a huge fan of the hotel breakfast which is help yourself buffet style but consisting of everything going. Quiet location but just round the corner from the bustling shops down Kateljnestraat. The walk back to the hotel from the centre at midnight is quite magical as there's no-one about.
Unique Quality: Quiet location. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Pool in Summer. Handy for both the old city centre and the railway station. Close to the Minnewater/Beguinage and the horse/carriage re-fuelling stop as well as the Haalve Maan Brewery.

Novotel Centrum
The clean, crisp and modern Novotel/Ibis hotel complex is a good one! Located along Katelijnestraat it's very central and there's (public) parking underneath!
Unique Quality: The breakfast buffest is huge but dear: EUR14 p/p. Rooms are around EUR110 per night for a double and the couch is an extra single bed - just in case :-)

Clean,quiet and comfortable
The rooms are extremly plain. They did not waste any money on a decorator here. We got a room with two twin beds which were very comfortable;not rock hard like some European hotels. The rooms include a breakfast buffet. To us, it was just average. At least it was more than just a piece of bread and coffee. We attempted to get desert at the restaurant one evening and it took them 45 min + to get us a coke,hot chocolate and chocolate mousse. We were the only people in the place. If you are looking for clean comfortable bed, and a quiet room, then this would be a nice place to stay. To me it was about the equivalent of a Super 8 in the states.You just end up paying allot more. The hotel is close to the center of the city, but not as close as what we thought it would be. It cost about 4.50 euro by taxi from the train station.For that reason we moved on to the Hotel Navarra. Read more on that stay.

Hotels in Brugge & Air Conditionnng
I've recently reserved at Novotel Brugge Centrum. I think its listed as a 2* hotel, but looks very nice (has A/C, outdoor pool, lots of amenities). I've noticed Crown Plaza Brugge offers lower rates & is listed as a 4* hotel. They are both central, but I'm not sure if Crown Plaza has A/C in rooms. Is it important to get A/C in Belgium in August? Does anyone know anything these hotes? I can't understand how a 4* can offer lower rates than a 2*. Is this common? Merci,

I've changed hotels after reading your comment. Although.... I was booked into Novotel Brugge Centrum (not south), Crowne Plaza is much better choice because of better rate & also they allow 4 of us stay in one room. I have been forced to book 2 rooms for our entire holiday because our children late teens. This is getting very expensive. We will spend the extra money on nice meals out in Brugge. Trip Advisor also rates Crowne Plaza as a top choice but after hearing from you Marie, my mind is made up. Thank you once again for your input. Brugge looks fascinating. Can't wait.
