A fine place
A very gracious, fairly new hotel but done in the old style. A hotel and a former house have been joined together. Very romantic and excellent location. Nice breakfast buffet. I wish I had spent one more day here.
Unique Quality: Very elegant but not stuffy. My room was in the house (back) wing and was small but comfortable.The only unusual thing was walking through the garage area to reach my room. The main house rooms can be as small but some are larger, especially the suites. Wonderful "Wellness" center that has a dry and wet sauna. A reminder that this facility is coed so don't be surprised to see naked bodies of both sexes walking around! Night desk man (Franck) was very gracious but had the unusual duties of being both Barman and Front Desk Agent .

Unique and great hotel with the best service ever!
I was here the fall of 2005, and the place really impressed me.
Me and my mother (!) was in Brugge to see a footballgame between Brugge-Vålerenga. We got a very special room with an own entrance and narrow stairs up to our room. The room was very old, cosy and cottagelike - I felt I visited a rich old lady and got her best guestroom.
I also appriciated the room right between the reception and the bar. There you could sit by the fire in really big, great chairs and read a book or a magazine.
But the service was the best I have ever had in a hotel. When we were going to the match, it turned out to be impossible to get a taxi. The reception tried to call and call, but it was too many people going that needed taxis to the stadium.
Then the woman in the reception called her boss, and she called a friend - and that guy just came with his own car and drove us the whole way. I am so grateful. To him and to the hotel.
Unique Quality: Very charming and unique room. Old, wooden and cosy.
And the best service ever.

Brugge hotel WITH Jacuzzi baby.....
I have not stayed here, but just try and stop me! Word on the street is this is THE MOST of the mostest and it's very afordable at arround $150 a night!

Oude Huis Amsterdam
Unique Quality: Well-known for a reason, this hotel is, for my money, the absolute best place to stay in town. Rooms are extremely well-kept, hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, and the location is unbeatable. Breakfast is served in a well-lit canal-facing room. Charmning outdoor patio out back and a soothingly dark-panelled bar. Unless staying in a private canal house, this is as authentic as it gets.

It was 5000 belgian francs in 1991 (for a double room).
This picture was taken from outside the hotel. Just look at the crowds of people!
