Knokke has a total of 12 km of sandy beaches. On many locations you can hire sunbeds for half a day, a day, or the duration of your stay.
During the summer dogs are now allowed on the beach!
During the off-season the beaches are more deserted and you can walk your dog or go horseback riding.
In August 2002 while we were on holiday in Antwerp we took the opportunity to visit Heist to see Helga (helga67) and her husband Walter, along with fellow VTer Filipdebont.
The day we went was the Parade Of Sail of the tall ships that have been visiting Zeebrugge.
It was a lovely sunny day, and we had fun watching the ships, chatting and of course eating and drinking!
