Would you be so kind and help me find somebody, who make or sell epaulettes in Oostende. I'm working on passenger ferry as 2nd mate and looking for epaulette for that rank.

see ... the beach ! not extraordinary ... but a beach anyway ! No palm tree ... no 40° degrees, but some sand and beach umbrella (we have so many hot sun in Belgium!) ... Nice terracces for summer time.

On the Vissersplein...

On the Vissersplein (Fisherman's square), you see 'De Eeuwige Toeschouwer' (The Eternal Spectator) and are from the hand of the sculptor Bernhart Vandenberghe. The statue unveiled for public on 24 June 2000. As you can see on our model Pollon (Chiara), nice pictures can be taken here ;-)

The climate is mild, humid and wet. Winds are mostly W or SW and most winter gales are from the SW. The sea often breaks over the outlying sandbanks especially when the wind blows against the tide.

Home and studio of James Ensor situated in the Vlaanderenstraat 27. On the ground floor you will find a collection of shells and souvenirs from his aunt and his uncle. On the first floor there is a documentation room and an exhibition room. On the second floor you can visit the painter’s original sitting room and studio.
