For a centrally-located budget hotel close to the seafront this was ideal for me. I had a bit of a hiccup finding the place as the signage faces towards the city centre, rather than the direction I arrived from the Promenade. I walked straight past it on my first attempt and it was only when I retraced my steps after getting to the end of the street that the signage was glaringly obvious. Then another minor hiccup was that their card machine wouldn't accept my debit card. But that wasn't a major problem either as the friendly receptionist let me leave my bag behind the desk and gave me directions to the ATM.
As expected my single room was small but perfectly clean and had all the necessary basics. The free Wi-Fi worked fine and breakfast was well worth getting up for - if I remember correctly the coffee was particularly good and no problems taking a cup back up to my room afterwards.
Coming back in the evenings the friendly downstairs bar was ideal for a late-ish beer and reasonably-priced too.
Unique Quality: Although not advertised you can get a sea view if your room faces onto Louisastraat, but you do have to stretch a bit out of the window! - pic #3
Directions: About a third of the way down the main street, n the right-hand-side, heading from the corner of the Albert 1 Promenade towards the city centre.
