Now Known As The Hotel du Bassin

This was an all-round excellent hotel and very good value for money. Having booked through www.booking.com check-in merely required giving the receptionist my passport so that she could input its number onto her computer and I was handed my room key with the instruction that if I wanted to charge anything to the bar/restaurant just to show it to the server.

The room itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and pleasantly furnished with a comfortable bed (too bloody comfortable!), a decent work surface (along with perfect freebie WiFi) and a view over the harbour. Staff were friendly throughout and the hot and cold buffet breakfast was well worth getting up for.

Location too is ideal - in the town centre and just across the road from the train station, main bus stops and the Kusttram halt.

Unique Quality: All-in this was an ideal town hotel and a big plus for me is that they offer both smoking and non-smoking rooms!
