St Nicolas Church
Sint Nicolaas Church
What you see the day of today is from the 15th century and the tower from the 13th century but it was a church from the early 12th century.
Abbey church to the origin (1120-1796), you can see outside , on the principal door, how much the ground floor came higher during the century's.
It is clearly an example of Flemish halls church: three beeches with almost the same dimensions. The interior became in 1969-1970 in white colour plastered.

Le bâtiment actuel date du XV ème siècle et la tour est du 13ème siècle mais l'endroit était déja lieu de culte au 12 ème siècle.
Abbatiale à l'origine (1120 - 1796) vous verrez la différence de nouveau du sol ayant varié au cours des siècles.
c'est clairement un exemple de "église-halle": 3 travées pratiquement identiques.
Les murs intérieurs ont été recouvert de blanc en 1969 - 1970

Spanisher Pavillon
The Spanish House.
A long time employed as peace justice.
Constructs in 1448-1452. The aspect does to think about in keep medieval.
But the back wing situated in the Oostraat is lighter aspect and well-ventilated. This one is the work of Ambrosius Roelants.
Up to 1586, it uses City hotel and in 1697 uses lodging to the Spanish officers from which his current name.
The all (interior and exterior's) is classified since 1939

La maison Espagnole: Elle fut longtemps employé comme justice de paix.
Construction de 1448 à 1452. D'un aspect qui rappelle les constructions médiévales.
Mais la partie arrière située dans la Oostraat, est d'un aspect plus " léger" et ventilé. C'est l'œuvre de Ambrosius Roelants.
En 1586 fut employée comme hôtel de ville et en 1697 servis de logement aux officiers Espagnols d'ou est venu le nom.
