Overpriced, rude staff and mediocre setup
I have very basic standards for a hotel - clean, comfortable beds, helpful staff - but was appalled by this hotel. The room was mediocre, cramped, poor light, little facilities especially for the price (200 euros twin) but this would have been manageable if it hadn't been for the staff. They refused to help when one colleague wanted to print a ticket and put down the phone on her, they kicked up a huge fuss for eating slightly beyond the breakfast time, they charge exorbitant wifi rates, and as I came up this evening for my thankfully last night they were refusing to allow someone to pay the night before his early departure in case he stole the key! This hotel does not deserve any patronage.

Well located for Centre, bars & eats!
Our second stay here, returning after a 12-month gap - as good as ever! The rooms are fine, if uninspiring - clean, well-sized, nice size bathroom & aircon. Also very quiet at night.
Good breakfast selection, hot & cold. Helpful service from the reception desk, in English when required.
Unique Quality: Well placed for:
- the seafood restaurants on St. Catherine (good choice of places, with outdoor options)
- bars of St.Gery (sit upstaires in Mappa mundi)
- main shopping street of Rue Nueve
- great local bar ("A La Couronne", opposite the Nordsee sea-food bar)
- supermarkets (GB is nearest)

nice and very well located
Astrid Centre Hotel Brussels
I choosed this place on internet, by random and I was really lucky! It is only 400 meters from the Grand’ Place. The hotel is situated in peaceful area next to the Fish market and the gastronomic St. Catherine square. Easy access via Metro/Bus De Brouckère (100 meter) en Central Station (15’).

Hotel Astrid, a good value
Located not far from bustling Quartier St-Gery and Ste-Catherine, the Hotel Astrid is a fine small hotel. It bears the name of one of the most beloved figure of the Belgian monarchy, the late Queen Astrid (the mother of the current king) who tragically died in a car crash in 1935.
The rooms are pretty standard and not much to look at but they have a nice breakfast area (breakfast included) and a lobby bar. It's a good value, especially if you come during the week-end when prices are slashed.
Unique Quality: Complementary breakfast, just steps from the livelier area in town.
Price range I mentionned is during the week-end or low-season.

Clean and Spacious
After itty-bitty rooms elsewhere in Europe, it was nice to be able to walk freely throughout our room without bumping into furniture or each other. This is a very clean and comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff and a FREE breakfast every morning! The rooms were reasonably priced, although we were here on a weekend and paid half of what you will during the week. It is still a decent price, much cheaper than the Metropole, which is around the corner. The Grand Place is 400 meters away and there are plenty of restaurants just a minute walk away! It is in the Place Ste.- Catherine area!
Unique Quality: Breakfast has anything you could possibly want in the morning. Cereals, juices, BREWED coffee, sausage, eggs, bread, jams...etc. The dining area is HUGE! There is a bar in the lobby which is open in the evenings. There are a varity of English TV channels (important with a child!!!). There is a hair dryer and a safe in the room.

ONCE CELEBRATED MY BIRTHDAY HERE.....
A very fine hotel especially for business people who aren't there during weekends.
So......easy to get a room there in the city centre during the weekends.....
I once celebrated my Birthday here with friends and family.....sweet memories.....
Unique Quality: A extremely lovely breakfast room........and the breakfast itself was great and....an extra birthday Breakfast for us!
I can recommend this place to you....
