    I've stayed in a couple of hotels now. This is one of them: The Bristol Stephanie. It was a good hotel, bit old fashioned styled though. However, we got lucky when were upgraded to an executive suite.

    • The Hotel Bristol Stephanie is a 5 star hotel on Avenue Louise, one of the more exclusive shopping streets of Brussels.

    There is a tram line that goes along Avenue Louise and the nearest stop to the hotel, "Stephanie" is only about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a wide range of conference facilities, a rather elegant looking restaurant, and a fitness centre. The fitness centre is not huge, but has a good range of exercise machines, a sauna, jacuzzi, and is kept in pristine state.

    My standard room was very spacious and well equipped. A Kingsized bed with the usual flurry of pillows, and separate duvets guaranteed no arguments over who was stealing the duvet!

    Above and beyond the usual comforts of a 5 star hotel, the room had a cupboard that opened up to reveal two hotplates, a sink and fridge. The extra fridge space was welcome - there were no pots, pans, plates or cutlery, which makes me think that at some stage in the past the hotel was offering serviced apartments.

    There is an ironing board and iron in the room, and free internet connection.
