Ideal for the day tripper
A wonderful, clean, modern well maintained hotel at a reasonable price. Even though my window was looking out over a busy road and the rail line, there wasn’t any problem with noise. So really, the main point when considering this hotel is location. The hotel is NOT centrally located near the major tourist attractions and the surrounding restaurants and night life are not extravagant or plentiful. This means that if you’re in Brussels to explore Brussels, you might want a more centrally located hotel. There is a large metro station in the Bruxelles Gare du Midi / Brussel-Zuid which is very close (5 minutes walk) from the hotel.
Unique Quality: It was the closeness of the main train station that attracted me to the hotel. My main purpose in staying in Brussels for this trip was to use it as a base from which to conduct day trips to outlying towns. And for this, the location of the hotel is excellent. Just out the door in the morning, cross the road, pick up a fresh pastry from the food store in the station and up to the platform to wait for the train to come and start the day’s adventure.
