We stayed at this hotel for two night, and it was fantastic! The rooms where of a very generous size and the bed was very large and surprisingly comfortable. There are opaque glass windows between the bathroom and bedroom, with clear sliuts between the panals, which is quite unusiual but very funny. The bathroom was very nmodern and nicely designed, and the shampoo etc was very nice. There was also a little safe in out room, which is always great to have. Room service did a great job and the overal feeling of he hotel is very clean. The breakfast was above average, but nothing special.
What reallymakes the hotel so fantastic is the location. It's a 5 minute walk to the Grand Place, taking you through the beautifull covered shopping street.
Staff was very friendly, and I got a fantastic deal looking around on the web. I paid 130 euro in total for 2 nights.
I'd definatly stay here again and recommend it to anybody. Great hotel!

We book for the most affordable stay within a reasonable distance of town. Our expectations are not high, just clean and safe! We never know what we are going to get...this time we were shocked!!!
Wonderful, beautiful hotel with great service! Location could not be better! Room could not have offered more!
Directions: Very near cathedral, main train station and Grand Place.
I am going to Brussels for an Ethics Seminar and my hotel stay has been arranged for me at the Radisson SAS Brussels Hotel starting May 14th. The problem is that I am arriving in Brussels on May 13th and need a hotel for a night. My organization will not pay for an extra night at the Radisson and I am not nearly rich enough to pay $200 USD for a one night stay :) It is really difficult to search for hotels by address and so far I have not had any luck in finding hotels in the same area. I was hoping somebody familiar with the area could help me with some names of nearby hotels that are more affordable.
There's a B&B in the same street as Radisson SAS.
www.laconciergerie.be located at Wolvengracht 32.
It is 90 euro per night.
There are probably many other options, but this looks like a charming one!
Anything near the Grand' Place is near the Radisson SAS ROYAL (I assume you aren't talking about the Radisson SAS EU), cheaper options nearby include the Madeleine, Aris, Alma, Arlequin etc. Also the Ibis Off Grand' Place and Novotel Grand' Place will be cheaper than the Radisson, although unfortunately the 13th is a Sunday so you won't qualify for weekend rates (which apply Fri and Sat, obviously people arrive on Sunday night for meetings on Monday..).
But I think the closest would be the NH Grand Place Arenberg in rue d'Assaut (between the Radisson and the Gare centrale, near the Cathedral) and after that, the (cheap) Hotel Aux Arcades, in rue des Bouchers, just off the Galeries St. Hubert.
Ibis St Catherine is cheaper than Ibis Grand Place. Another one frequently used by my colleagues is St Nicholas:
Rue de l'Amigo 1 - 3, Brussels
5 rue du Peuplier, Brussels
40 Rue Veydt, Brussels
Carrefour de l'Europe 3, Brussels
