Motel Sunce: Treated Like Family

Without question, the best place I stayed on my latest travels in Eastern Europe. This family run motel is really like staying with family, the good kind of family (not the one that torments you during the holidays). When I arrived here I was already sick (stomach problems and chills). Ismet, the owner, took great care of me and fed me only foods that would sit well with me. He also brought up hot tea, biscuits and medicine to my room on numerous occassions. While spending my day resting I quite enjoyed listening to rural life. About once every few hours, I'd hear the local women taking sheep and goats out to pasture. I felt like I had traveled back in time.

The fine folks at Green Visions (eco-tourism company out of Sarajevo) raved about this place - and for good reason. There's also a nice write-up about it in the Bradt Bosnia guidebook.

Unique Quality: The meals here are all organic and include excellent soups, delicious honey and fresh baked bread. Full board for 20 Euro - it's a steal!
