Although it is not in the city center, it is very close to the center and taxi does not ask for much. The rooms are very big and although my room was for one person, three people could easily stay in. Nice, warm, clean. Do not have high expectations , it is not a 5 star hotel at the end. The people in the reception are very kind. There is internet connection (one computer at the reception - dial up connection ) which loses connection easily and but not very expensive. Breakfast is basic.
Pre-reserved the hotel in the family room. Had some very good facilities that many places in Sarajevo didn't seem to have. Fantastic staff member - Belmina - who spoke excellent English and was really helpful. If all Sarajevo's hotel staff were like her then the place is going to be back on the map in 5 minutes.
Massive, massive room. Nice traditional restaurant although closed on Monday.
Directions: Zmaje od Bosne. Coming from the airport if you get as far as the Holiday Inn you've gone too far by 1km. Go under the railway bridge and turn first left.
There were 10 of us that stayed here in 2002 and 2003. Handicap accessable. The roof top balcony over looks the City. The penthouse goumet restaurant is the best.
Theme: Hotel
Directions: Border residential and ware house district
I stayed in this hotel in 2004 attending a seminar. My experiences are pretty positive with no grudges or major complaints.I'm not sure about the prices but most tourists will find it acceptable to sleep over a couple of nights and see the city during the day.
The hotel is not so close to the center but you can get to the main street and Alipasina mosque in some 20 minutes of walk.It is situated just next to the Sarajevo Tobacco Factory and 10 minutes of walk away from the Sarajevo university campus,Energoinvest building and the main bus/railway station. It will cost you around 8 KM (4 €) with a taxi to the city center.
During my stay here one part of the hotel was being rebuilt after a fire or something,I'm not sure. The fitness facilities and the pool on the roof were out of function too.The rooms were clean and had everything needed for a sleep-over.The continental breakfast was a bit plain since there weren't many guests.Dinner was served and it wasn't anything special...
I believe that people who just want a sleep-over and don't want to be in a hostel will find this hotel up to the task...
The location is not so bad,the stations are just near and you can always get a taxi if you don't feel like taking a walk...
Directions: From north:through Rajlovac until you see a big green tobacco factory on your right. From south:drive to Energoinvest building and go through a small tunnel and turn left.
