During our first day in Sarajevo, we came across this small family run pension in the middle of a courtyard close to the Bascasija (old Ottoman area of the city), after finding out about tours of the city.
We had been disappointed about the hostel we had been staying at, and when we met Mona, one of the owner's daughter, she made us feel so welcome, full of information and she even offered to show us the rooms (under no obligation).
The rooms and decor were very cosy, felt like a family home, everywhere it was clean, beautiful towels and bed linen.
Mona also gave us advice on Sarajevo and has a friend who offers tours.
I would definitely advise my friends to stay here and if/when revisiting Sarajevo I will stay here.
Unique Quality: Ideal courtyard setting near to Old town cafes and resturants. Cosy
Directions: Tram stop (Bascarsija) through main square (Pigeon square, because of the pigeons around the fountain) turn left, Bravadziluk street, pass Bonsanska Kuca (Steakhouse) on left, few steps to courtyard entrance on right. Pansion Lion is in left hand corner
