Shops and prices at shops in Bansko, Bulgaria

by ReneHoeg

We want to buy some general appliances like radio and TV in Bansko, but cannot find any web-site to see what prices are.
Does anyone kow how to contact local shops selling such items- and does anyone know how to find other types of shops in Bansko/ types of shops available in Bansko or Razlog?

Hi there, I am from Bulgaria.I can tell you Bansko is not the best place to buy such a appliances, everything there is very expensive. The best way to find stuff there is to walk and ask folks about the stores.I know in Razlog, I have been there, they have something like a mini mall in the downtown, but mostly clothes. In the web you will find only information about tourism, skiing...There is a city called Blagoevgrad nearby and there you can find radio and TV, much more stores. It is a student city, they have a lot of discos, I was a student there. You will have a lot of fun.

Whilst most things in Bansko tend to be more expensive than the rest of Bulgaria at least the water is free. The shops, restaurants and bars will all try to sell you overpriced spring water in plastic bottles but all you need is the bottle. The spring pictured is in the middle of the main Pirin Street and there's also a couple of others around the town, including at the railway station.
