Yes, Sandanski is a nice small town at the foot of the Pirin Mountain. It is nice place for balneo-tourism as there are a lot of mineral springs with hot water. The climate is very warm, since it is closer to Greece - a lot of people go theer in case they have health problems. Besides, you can taste the wonderful wine from the region!
Come to Bulgaria, you will surely enjoy it!

This is a lively and fun town. The main street does not sleep. There are countless bars and restaurants which stay open late into the night. It has a nice park which has many interesting things to see, including odd communist era monuments. This place is dirt cheap ! We had a chicken dinner for four for less than 10 euros, including drinks. I visited in early July of 2007.
