This is a really smart little (15 room) hotel here in central Bourgas and not hugely expensive either. The building itself dates back to 1925 and was designed by the Italian architect Ricardo Toscani who was also responsible for Bourgas's (and Varna's) superbly styled "Art Nouveau" railway stations. The Hotel Chiplakoff (or with a "v" instead of the double f as some of its literature attributes) is considered a local architectural monument and was originally the townhouse of a local merchant named Bozveliev.
Having become a little delapidated in recent years its modern reincarnation as an hotel was started in 2004 and completed in 2006 by the eponymous developer Atanas Chiplakoff who has lovingly restored the building to its former grandeur.
The rooms themselves retain the building's character whilst adding modern touches such as the immaculate "wet room" bathrooms, wired internet, direct dial telephones and a mini-bar. Ha! The "mini-bar"!!
I honestly have no complaints whatsoever about this hotel: , the receptionist was friendly and spoke reasonably good English, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the internet connection worked, the standard of housekeeping excellent. But...but...the advertised mini-bar! Ach, well, I wasn't here to spend all my time in my hotel room trashing the mini-bar (with or without guests) and so the fact that it's contents were 3 APPLES was not a major problem. Yep, a mini-bar containing 3 apples is definitely a first for me - HA!
As I've said tho' - this is a nice little hotel and only about 10 or so minutes walk from the railway station and the town centre. The residential area it is situated in has a couple of interesting little bars and restaurants, and the hotel too has its own rather chic-looking restaurant. Unfortunately I missed breakfast and so can't comment on that but for the 30 Euro price-tag which included said breakfast this was definitely an excellent choice.

Do not go for a 2* hotel as they are extremely basic.
Go for 3* or above
If your hotel deos not have a pool you can use any pool in any hotel but you will have to pay for use of

The hotel is brand NEW - it opened doors in july 2006. Situated in the cental part of the town, in vincinity of the Central Port , Central Train station , Border Police and old Post station.
The hotel is equipped with central heating/ air conditionning system, Hotel lobby, Panorama restaurant with sea vew with capacity for 80 guests, Hairdresser, Casino and Night Bar.
The hotel itself has 28 double rooms and 4 appartments. Each room is equipped with LCD TV, sat, Info system , free internet access, phone and mini bar.
Conference hall with 70 places provided with multimedia , projector , fax, wireless internet , and office with laser printer and copy machine.

Hotel Bulgaria in Burgas is more than a hotel, it's a city-landmark of a sort. 3 star hotel, its an old hotel but has some floors newly renovated. i strongly recomend pay 60 instead of 30 and choose this new rooms. If you don't like cockrouches.My room was 312. Now im not used to staying in hotels so maybe i was spoilt, but i thought this place was pukka! maybe more so as it was free, as part of my investment trip. its 190lev per night for a standard double room incl buffet breakfast.
its a 4 star hotel, about 3km from the city centre, about 2lev(70p) for a taxi into town.
its got a nightclub, although its just a tiny bar really, with occasional lap dancing. its also got a nice lounge bar, a good restaurant and a gym!

Hotel is known as "first private own hotel" in Burgas.
We stayed there 16 nights, and price was for double room 35leva(17€) /night.
Hotel is old, needs some reforming, but location is perfect! Walking distance from all amenities. Tiny coffee bar is downstair, but afterall you dont need anything else as there is many good restaurants just 5min walking distance away.
