Beautiful Beach
I dont know the name of this beach but it is south of Sozopol on highway E87. We found it on the way to the Turkish border. Even though it was very popular as you can see, it was very natural without all the resorts on top of you.

Hi,
Im travelling by train bus.. and I have my tent. I would like to know if it is easy to get to the camping of the Gold fish by bus from Burgas and Sozopol. Also I saw the beach smokini that seems very nice too. Do you know if there is a camping there? If it is easy to get there by bus?
Thank u so much!

Hey,
There are some minibuses from Burgas, that can be usefull for your journey.
The bus station is just in front of the train station. From there the buses to Sozopol are every 30 minutes (sharp hour and 30 past), the bus stops in front of the camping Gold fish ("Zlatna ribka" in Bulgarian), and the travel time is about 40 minutes from Burgas, 5 minutes from Sozopol. Smokini camping is a little still further, to the south of Sozopol. You can get directly there by buses going to Lozenets, Tsarevo, Kiten, Primorsko, or by taxi from Sozopol, it is about 3 km. However, I am afraid none of the campings is open at this time of the year. Probably you can open your tent there but you will have no camping facilities.

There are two beaches in Sozopol, The Central Beach in the Old town and Harmony Beach in the New Town. Both are sticked with sunshades so for those who likes beach itself without human intrusion it can be a little disappointment. If you want to use a sunshade or chaise-longue the price is 3 lev for each. Many people come with their own sunshades. The Central Beach also has a park or as Bulgarians call it sea garden.
And don't forget suntan lotion because your skin can be burnt by the merciless afternoon sun.
Sozopol is a beautiful old fishing town on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. It is highly popular in the summer months (mainly July and August) with both Bulgarian and German tourists so unless you have already booked accommodation you might be best to try and visit outside these months when your choice of accommodation will be much wider. I have visited Sozopol four times when I have been working in central Bulgaria and have felt the urge for a seaside break in order to swim and escape the heat. The old town is brimming with charm and is a pleasure to explore at any time of the day or night. Visit the archaeological museum (head from the main square to the old town and you will find it a couple of hundred yards up on your left) which has excellent displays of imported Greek pottery amongst an array of spectacular treasures from other periods. Dine at one of a number of excellent restaurants in the old town which overlook the sea - Neptune is particularly good. Sample the relatively cheap cocktails at numerous bars both in the old and the new towns. Or just relax on the beautiful beaches.....
