Grand Hotel Kazanluk: Central Location

The Grand Hotel is certainly big and the facade doesn't make it look very inviting. But rooms have been renovated and are good value for money.
The clean rooms are ensuite and come with aircon, tv, fridge and balcony.
A buffet breakfast is included in the price.

Hotel Palas: Pure luxury

Officially a 3* this hotel is pure luxury. On the internet the price was unexpectedly low but the hotel was recommended by both teodorra and Nikolay Ivanov so I reserved a room...

Discovered after I got there that the reason for the low rate was that the hotel was undergoing renovations and so was a building across the street. I must say that there was no noise or disturbance of any kind. Rates posted in the room were twice what I was charged - guess because of the renovations. I had a corner room with double exposure, so I was able to open the windows on the other side - w/o the scaffolding.

Very large room, fully furnished. Includes a 'sitting suite', fridge, TV, dressing table and all. Large modern bathroom. Clean. Very good bed. I had a double room for single use.

Have to note that they are not good about answering emails/fax. If it weren't for teodorra being there and phoning them I might well have changed to another place.

Location: A 15 - 20 minute walk from the bus station. The neighbourhood around the bus station is not recommended for a solo woman to walk. Especially when dragging a wheelie and obviously a tourist :)

Very nice, polite and helpful desk staff. They were more than willing to answer questions, help with phone calls and make inquiries about the bus to travel on to Veliko Turnovo for me.

Very nice dining/breakfast room with pleasant staff, live music (piano) in the evenings.
Busy enough, but not too busy. Very large attractive aquarium in the entrance.

Good buffet breakfast. Large choice of hot and cold foods. Fresh fruit. The juice is not fresh.
Excellent coffee! Superb hot chocolate!

The only place I stayed in Bulgaria that had a lift!!!!

Hotel Kazanluk

It is a decent hotel.Prices are too cheap- approximately 19 euro for single room, 25 euro for double.

The best hotel in Kazanlak.

Hotel a short walk from the Thracian Tomb

Personally I like staying in Hotels with a traditional feel & style. This hotel gives a traditional bulgarian feel & welcomes everyone to come and taste life how it was long ago in Bulgaria.

Kazanlak Hotel: Hotel in the Center of Kazanlak

Restaurant: classic formal dining. Summer garden facing the town square. Extensive choice of international and Bulgarian cuisine. Live popular music at lunch and dinner.

Folk restaurant. Live folk band. National cuisine. Panorama bar with terrace.
Night bar with entertainment.

Indoor swimming pool with hot mineral water from the Ovoshtnik spa, Fitness room, Solarium, sauna & Bar with soft drinks.

Car and coach guarded parking.
