Hotels in Stara Zagora?!!!
Hi, can anyone tell us if there are any nice, cheap (about 20lev) hotels in S.Z that have sites on the net please? Thanks!
RE: Hotels in Stara Zagora?!!!
I think that you will have a hard time finding hotels in that price range in Stara Zagora. Some hotels charge as low as 30-50 levs per person, but you will have to ask around. That type of hotels do not have the resources to advertise on the net. I suggest you email the people at the SZ Economic Development Agency (http://www.szeda.bg/). They act as an officious tourism information board for the region and have been extremely helpful with my queries in the past.
Hope this helps.

Travel Tips for Stara Zagora
Stara Zagora is a city with a wide range of culinary delights with offerings ranging from traditional Bulgarian "mehana" style food at restaurants such as Ralitza (featuring a wine list with 300 selections) and Chinara, to gourmet cuisine served at establishments such as Rasputin, Volga the Dedov Hotel and Tangra Hotel Restaurants.
Chefs gladly take advantage of the cornucopia of locally grown fruits and vegetables augmented by locally produced wines. Visit the Menada Bratya Syarovi tasting room in near-by Oryahovitsa and sample their famous wines.
This church I couldn't find it on any tourist map and I know why. This poor church is bad shape and in desperate need of repair. I still it is worth time looking and taking pictures with. It sticks out in the market area between all the shops & big buildings. It is of old Bulgarian style.
".:: Nice place to call home ::."
This is my birth place so i can not say i had a trip to there...because i used to live there some years ago. But its a good place to rest of the noisy and dynamic city life. There are some good parks where you can sit to rest or meet the smiles of calm and funny people...
".:: Good midnight fun ::."
There are also nice cafes, bars and clubs where you can just sit for a drink and talk or you can have a great midnight party. The people are friendly and know how to enjoy the night...
The town where i grew up
Well it is just an average bulgarian town, but it is the town where i grew up. And it is a place with rich history. There are archeological sites dating back to Thracian times, and the town has changed its name every time a new ruler took over it. The name Stara Zagora translated from slavic means "old town behind the mountain"
