There is not a Reception desk in this hotel, just one waitress who does not understand English and an old guard who comes to (guard) the hotel in the evenings.
My husband spent 7 nights in the hotel.
The room was average size but the sheets of the bed were smaller than the bed itself.
Very uncomfortable sleep. The bed-spread was in a bad condition (ragged).
The towels in the bathroom were old and shabby.
For breakfast there were cups for each visitor on some tables, and next to them COLD water.
A tea or nescaffe bag next to each cup in a plate, with just a small roll of bread.
No sugar, no jam, no cheese. Nothing!
The bathroom itself was ok, with a big bath tub. The towels were changed daily.
No other qualities to be considered for this hotel. A small bar of soap every day, and the usual toileteries - shampoo and foam bath.
My husband spent 7 nights in this hotel (April 2010).
The sheets were very old and shorter than the bed itself. Uncomfortable sleep.
Although the bath seemed to be ok with nice tiles and comfortable, the towels were so old and ragged!
No reception, just one waitress who could not understand English at all.
Every morning there were glasses with COLD water and next to them one tea or nescaffe bag left at the tables for each visitor. Also one small roll of bread next to the cup one for each guest. There was nobody in the kitchen!
It was terrible! This cannot be considered breakfast. Much worse than a continental.
The bathroom was better. The bath tub was big and comfortable.
The towels were changed daily but they were very old and ragged. A small bar of soap was left daily, and the usual toiletries -shampoo and bath gel.
A newly-built hotel close to the center of the city, the Art hotel is conveniently located. I was there twice in the second half of 2005, and I must say that the experience is not very pleasant, even by Bulgarian standards. The rooms are relatively well equipped and modern, they are clean, but the service is non existent and not really professional. Bottom line is poor quality/price ratio, with the decoration showing a poor sense of style.
Zagorka Lake in the north-eastern part of town has 60 beds and four apartments, lakeside restaurant, cafe, conference facilities for 150 people, and a secured parking area.
