MINOTEL RASHEV-A Hotel with the FORTRESS View
A Hotel that is located just few minute walks down to the entrance of the Fortress. One of the advantages of this hotel. It provides a small parking area at the right side of the hotel. This is naturally the negative side of it because it can happened that area is completely occupied. Then you have to park somewhere far. Anyway it is not a major problem for all. In our case since we brought our own car so being stranger in a certain city it was at first not so easy to find the hotel inspite of the GPS and the parking area were all occupied. The fact that my husband speaks the language and can read the Cyrillic writings no big trouble communicating with the hotel owner. They were very friendly and helpful in finding ways of solving our problems during our stay. From all the hotels we booked this was the only hotel who has set for boiling water for coffee or tea. Our rooms were spacious and has the mountain view and fortress view as well. The room has TV, air condition, central heater, warm and cold water and tidy comfort room and shower.
Unique Quality: This is a hotel with amphitheater character! We book this hotel from the internet. Before we decided to book we selected carefully and read what the hotel can offer us. When we saw the pictures and description that the restaurant on the top serves as a balcony that gives a wide angle and perfect view of the mountains and the old Tsarevets Fortress, then we grabbed the chance.
Directions: From the Fortress Entrance to the hotel is only 5-10 minutes walk.
Hotel with castle view.
I had a double room with castle view and the view was great. For that I paid 42 Euro for two nights. Kettle and fridge in the room.
The lady (who is also the owner) in the reception was very helpful with information on what was going on in town, although she was not English speaking so you have to know at least some German to talk to her.
The breakfast is perhaps not much to write home about: a ready-made plate with two slices of ham and two slices of yellow cheese, some sheep cheese and a couple of slices of tomato. A basket with white bread. Tea or coffe. If you want a glass of juice it will cost you 1,50 Lv.
I put a link to a map here.
Unique Quality: The room was quite simple but there was a kettle and fridge which you not always find in much more expensive hotels.
They have a good restaurant open from 20.00 to 22.00 for dinner.
Directions: The old town.
Best budget stay
Very good location - near the fortress and centre. Located on the main street .We stayed 2 days and like town very much. From hotel we enjoyed the best panorama. Located near all sightseeings. Staff is friendly. Good quality price-service.Next year will visit again.
